Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu = Khaaka KhaaKa++;
In all probability I would be watching this film today, provided tickets are available and I do reach the theatre on time.
I am expecting a lot from this film, as after a real long time Kamal is teaming up with a branded director, after a series of mediocre films.
The songs are really good from harris jeyraj, will take its time to create the kaakha kaakha effect, but I'm sure it will.
Okay I just hope the film is worth all this:):)
Its, 10:23 now, I did watch the film the 6:00 show,I really am short on words, okay lemme try this-
It was a scintillating, pulsating , nail biting , romantic, sleek flick which exceeded whatever expectations it has created, Gautam strikes big once again - magic direction at work here!!!
Right from the starting song - karkha karkha to the way in which the serial killer is unravelled, the hunt starts from madurai to new york, all along minor details are given ampfull importance to give the movie a sense of realism.
The stunts in the film are totally authentic, unlike most present day films, where a lot of unrealistic graphics are used making action as the mainstay comedy in these films:)-
The highlight of the film are the serial killers who are pursuing their medical studies in Broklyn Medical University - US, scuttling beltween US and India, and sparking of a series of brutal executions.
Ther's a suttle difference between a murder and an execution , which has been religiously brought to light.
Their modus operandi - is fairly systematic, mostly targeted at teenage females, abduct the female, cut her finger and bury her.
Recommendations:
Only one , the film should have released much earlier.
Music :
Each song has its own class.Karka Karka - for speed and vibrance and kamal's action.
Venn nillavae - rythematic, captures many highpoints of NY.
Nerrupae - Plots the killer's escape from the NY to Mumbai airport , cleverly avoiding the police batallion.
Partha Mudhal Naaley- Melody , Romance easily the most melodious song of this year - to date.
On equating with Khaka Khaka's scores, these are equally good, but should be heard more than once, to actually capture the imagination.
