Cycling - A very intelligible way to keep urself fit.

Well, about 2 months back, I brought a cycle. Wow!!! I was so damn excited; the levels were nowhere close when we brought a new car. For me cycling is a direct way of breaking blues, the simplest way to get the body moving, and also a step back to the good old times.

Nostalgia associated: I remember when I brought my first cycle, when I was in my 8th std. It was a hotcake piece at that time known as generation X. I used to cycle about 6 k.m. from my house to school, "good old days rekindled". I confess that I try to be a fitness freak, although my laziness and lack of motto make me anything but severely inconsistent in my fitness regime .

I fancied upon rejoining the Gym(The 5th rejoin if I would do:)), but again gyming just captures the imagination only 2 day's in a month(at max).I next decided upon joining tennis classes on weekends, but lotta formalities involved, which made the idea look damn tedious for a weekend . Then it struck me why not start cycling and this idea surely rocked, mainly because I stay in an area which still is not fully urbanized, it still has a lot of shades of the good old 80's bangalore.

My target is something like this - a cycle for about 30 min a day, this is possible on most days, except for those days when I used to rise above 9:00 . There's a railway track about 3 km from my place, and there's a beautiful road adjacent to it, the road is slightly sloped towards one side and hence cycling here is a real pleasure. The result are instantaneous
"sweat imparted from 15 min of cycling = sweat imparted from bowling 3 overs(medium pace) and a lot of running in cricket (abt 45 min of cricket)= sweat imparted from 10 min of fundu footer(which is not possible by a single person)."

This especially is a very lucrative physical outing for all IT folks, who predominently are perched in one place.

Note: The above equations are strictly subject to degree of involvement. Hence, I personally recommend cycling as the easiest way to fitness, please try this out and get back to me:):)
