Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu = Khaaka KhaaKa++;

In all probability I would be watching this film today, provided tickets are available and I do reach the theatre on time.
I am expecting a lot from this film, as after a real long time Kamal is teaming up with a branded director, after a series of mediocre films.
The songs are really good from harris jeyraj, will take its time to create the kaakha kaakha effect, but I'm sure it will.
Okay I just hope the film is worth all this:):)

Its, 10:23 now, I did watch the film the 6:00 show,I really am short on words, okay lemme try this-
It was a scintillating, pulsating , nail biting , romantic, sleek flick which exceeded whatever expectations it has created, Gautam strikes big once again - magic direction at work here!!!

Right from the starting song - karkha karkha to the way in which the serial killer is unravelled, the hunt starts from madurai to new york, all along minor details are given ampfull importance to give the movie a sense of realism.

The stunts in the film are totally authentic, unlike most present day films, where a lot of unrealistic graphics are used making action as the mainstay comedy in these films:)-

The highlight of the film are the serial killers who are pursuing their medical studies in Broklyn Medical University - US, scuttling beltween US and India, and sparking of a series of brutal executions.
Ther's a suttle difference between a murder and an execution , which has been religiously brought to light.

Their modus operandi - is fairly systematic, mostly targeted at teenage females, abduct the female, cut her finger and bury her.

Recommendations:

Only one , the film should have released much earlier.

Music :
Each song has its own class.
Karka Karka - for speed and vibrance and kamal's action.
Venn nillavae - rythematic, captures many highpoints of NY.
Nerrupae - Plots the killer's escape from the NY to Mumbai airport , cleverly avoiding the police batallion.
Partha Mudhal Naaley- Melody , Romance easily the most melodious song of this year - to date.
On equating with Khaka Khaka's scores, these are equally good, but should be heard more than once, to actually capture the imagination.

A few interesting articles.

Over the past month, a couple of articles captured my imagination a lot.
1. An article on the reservation in IIM's, IIT's,etc.
2. Oil consumption in India is actually on the reduce, when taking into consideration the mammoth increase in the number of locomotives.

The core idea of the first article is there’s no point in dragging the finishing line closer, when the starting line is still far fletched for many backward classes.
Pretty self explanatory I guess - The education at the primary level or grass roots need to be ironed out first, before smoothening the path to the elevated echelons of study.

Latest Developments:

The bill for 29% reservation was passed recently, (2days back), the point to notice was skimming the cream or not, i.e. the southern allies wanted reservation for even the " economically well off OBC's" a gross misnomer. It was later decided that only the economically backward OBC's would be given the elevator - A real saving grace. Still don't know how the scheme would gel gotta wait and watch.

The second article mainly states that improved automobile technology has actually reduced fuel consumption drastically to what it was 3 years back, i.e. in equation to the number of vehicles. More stats on these to follow, please keep reading.

According to British Petroleum's Statistical review of World Energy 2006 says that oil consumption in India has dropped by 3 percent last year, alarming right!!!???

The chief reasons behind this being:

1. Increased use of CNG
2. Electrification of Railways -
well railways use 66.6 % of diezel sold in India, hence electrifiation nearly saves 4 million litre/year for a streach of 100 k.m.
Anothar utility of electrification:
Carrying small range trucks over flatbed freight trains, hence many trucks are carried over a single electrified line, which drastically reduces the fuel input.

Statistic:

A single small 2 - axle truck could end up saving 8500/- Rs for a trip from mumbai to mangalore port.
Thats amazing right, think of the number of trucks sent everyday of these trains, great economy at work here!!!

Cycling - A very intelligible way to keep urself fit.

Well, about 2 months back, I brought a cycle. Wow!!! I was so damn excited; the levels were nowhere close when we brought a new car. For me cycling is a direct way of breaking blues, the simplest way to get the body moving, and also a step back to the good old times.

Nostalgia associated: I remember when I brought my first cycle, when I was in my 8th std. It was a hotcake piece at that time known as generation X. I used to cycle about 6 k.m. from my house to school, "good old days rekindled". I confess that I try to be a fitness freak, although my laziness and lack of motto make me anything but severely inconsistent in my fitness regime .

I fancied upon rejoining the Gym(The 5th rejoin if I would do:)), but again gyming just captures the imagination only 2 day's in a month(at max).I next decided upon joining tennis classes on weekends, but lotta formalities involved, which made the idea look damn tedious for a weekend . Then it struck me why not start cycling and this idea surely rocked, mainly because I stay in an area which still is not fully urbanized, it still has a lot of shades of the good old 80's bangalore.

My target is something like this - a cycle for about 30 min a day, this is possible on most days, except for those days when I used to rise above 9:00 . There's a railway track about 3 km from my place, and there's a beautiful road adjacent to it, the road is slightly sloped towards one side and hence cycling here is a real pleasure. The result are instantaneous
"sweat imparted from 15 min of cycling = sweat imparted from bowling 3 overs(medium pace) and a lot of running in cricket (abt 45 min of cricket)= sweat imparted from 10 min of fundu footer(which is not possible by a single person)."

This especially is a very lucrative physical outing for all IT folks, who predominently are perched in one place.

Note: The above equations are strictly subject to degree of involvement. Hence, I personally recommend cycling as the easiest way to fitness, please try this out and get back to me:):)
